Biographies
Joseph B. Childrey, Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Childrey co-developed an investment philosophy and the Fund’s investment strategy with Allen Shepard, PhD, that incorporates the principles of behavioral finance and trend following.
Mr. Childrey has over 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry. He founded and managed the Probabilities Fund L.P., a tactical long/short hedge fund, for six years before converting the fund to a mutual fund (PROTX) . Previously, he served as investment advisor at PaineWebber and as investment advisor and manager at AG Edwards and Wells Fargo for fifteen
years. Mr. Childrey received a BA from Western Maryland College.
Allie Davari, Director of Training and Development
Mrs. Davari has over 20 years experience in the finance industry. Her career started on the buy side at GT Global Mutual funds (now AIM Mutual Funds/Invesco), where she worked as a retirement plan specialist. In 1999, Mrs. Davari jumped to the sell side where she worked as a Product Marketing Specialist at Thomas Weisel Partners and then VP of Product Marketing at BofA
Securities. In 2003, Mrs. Davari worked as Director of Research for WR Hambrecht. In 2007, she decided to make a career move to Decker Communications as a certified trainer. Some of her
clients included Charles Schwab, Cisco, and Pfizer working with senior level executives to understand how they come across in all communications situations and transform their impact the
very next day. Mrs. Davari has been consulting with Joe Childrey on marketing strategy for Probabilities Fund since 2010. Allie Davari is now in charge of PFM’s new advisor partnering initiative, providing “value added” programs designed to help advisors grow their businesses.
She received a BA in Rhetoric from University of California, Berkeley and a MA in Speech Communication/Rhetoric from California State University, Hayward.
