Biography
Jeff Young has been an Investment Advisor Representative and Financial Planner since 1982. He joined First Financial Equity Corporation in 2001 and serves in the Private Client Group and is the firm’s real estate Due Diligence advisor. Jeff is a Investment Advisor Representative, has Series 7, 39, 65 and 63 securities licenses, an insurance license and an Arizona real estate license. He is also a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Board of Arbitrators. He is a former board member of the Real Estate Investment Securities Association; a Founder of the Independent Rental Owners’ Council (IROC) in Arizona, former member of the Board of Director’s of the Arizona Multihousing Association (AMA) and owns Young Properties, LLC.
Jeff graduated from the University of Houston (BA, Journalism, 1970) and is a retired Army Reserve Officer (Lt. Colonel, Infantry). He is also a graduate of the U. S. Army’s Command and General Staff College (1985). He served for twelve years of his Army Reserve career at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.
Jeff is a frequent lecturer and writer on various economic and investment topics. In 1980, he won Toastmasters International’s World Championship of Public Speaking and is a nationally-known speaker at conferences and conventions throughout the nation. He also is on the faculty of the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business in Scottsdale teaching business and investment classes.
As a personal investment advisor, Jeff works one-on-one with his select clients in Portfolio Asset Allocation and Investing during both the accumulation and distribution phases of an investment life with the goal of achieving specific client goals and objectives. He and his staff work with Attorneys and CPA’s in Estate and Tax Planning exercises and advises clients on retirement and income issues.
Jeff and his wife Jane live in Scottsdale and have three grown children.
